Customer Relationship Account Specialist
About The Position
Ashley Furniture is seeking a customer-focused account specialist to create positive experiences and build meaningful connections with customers. The role provides support through phone and email interactions, coordinates with internal teams to help ensure orders are processed and delivered smoothly, and resolves customer concerns. The specialist documents customer interactions and advocates for customers throughout their experience. The position is based in a climate-controlled office with standard lighting and moderate noise. It primarily involves sitting at a desk for extended periods and using computers, phones, and other office equipment, with collaboration and communication across teams during regular business hours.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of sales, customer service, or related experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to connect with people from varied backgrounds.
- Welcoming and professional demeanor with excellent telephone etiquette.
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online tools such as PowerBI.
- Experience with AI platforms such as CoPilot or ChatGPT.
- A proactive, positive problem-solving approach.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in retail customer service, technical support, or order fulfillment.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and customer database management.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional and friendly customer support by phone and email.
- Work with sales, supply chain, credit, transportation, and distribution teams to support seamless order processing and delivery.
- Address customer concerns through creative solutions and proactive problem-solving.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions to support continuous improvement.
- Advocate for customers and ensure they feel heard, valued, and supported throughout their experience.
