About The Position

This position is responsible for planning, quoting, entering, directing, and monitoring domestic shipments. The specialist will ensure all customer instructions are entered into the system, and that necessary shipment milestones are present and in the correct order. They will work with the operations team to determine routing for required service levels, negotiate rates with vendors, and request spot quotes. Additionally, the role involves accruing vendor costs, resolving variances, sending invoices to customers, and ensuring freight and documentation meet security, TSA, and company compliance programs. The specialist will track and monitor the entire process of cargo movement and keep customers updated on movement details. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Five (5) years freight forwarding operations or account management experience preferred
Computer skills including Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high volume of transactions
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to coordinate efforts with other organizations
Strong problem-solving skills
Team oriented

Responsibilities
