Requirements

  • Duties require knowledge and proficiency in math, writing, technology, and communications.
  • Specialized product and industry knowledge is necessary.
  • Two years of progressively responsible customer service or sales experience.
  • Strong written, negotiation, and verbal skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of customer relations.
  • Effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Strong team collaboration capabilities.
  • Good sense of judgment.
  • Industry certification at the CAS (Certified Advertising Specialist) level.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain solid professional relationships with assigned sales partners.
  • Identify the needs of these sales partners and their customers.
  • Understand the sales partners’ current sales figures and goals, and proactively assist them to meet or exceed these goals.
  • Provide aggressive competitive pricing through research and negotiation, especially when volume goes beyond special pricing with our Preferred Suppliers or when the sales partner requests are related to a competitive situation.
  • Obtain quotes and, when requested, prepare product presentations for clients.
  • Order self-promotion aids and spec samples for sales partners.
  • Provide sales partners with creative selling ideas and stay current with trends in the industry.
  • Attend supplier webinars, meetings, and industry events when they occur.
  • Provide timely and innovative solutions to the sales partner.
  • Educate sales partners on matters regarding products and services and assist with questions regarding Geiger processes.
  • Assist with the duplication of a previous customer order with guidance from sales partners.
  • Follow through on orders and questions pertaining to the assigned sales partners, from start to finish with the support of internal associates.
  • Perform maintenance on orders.
  • Correct and revise orders, research and answer commission questions, and make adjustments if needed.
  • Coordinate the art proof process from suppliers to the sales partner and/or customer.
  • Proof orders for complete details related to product, pricing, decoration, and shipping accuracy.
  • Assist with expediting rush orders, including negotiating with suppliers on expedited shipping terms.
  • Conduct research and resolve problems presented by internal associates.
  • Develop knowledge of billing and receivable functions to ensure that orders are processed accurately in accordance with special customer needs.
  • Work with internal associates to set up and monitor special procedures required to meet customers’ specific needs.
  • Respond timely to incoming calls, emails, and messages with helpful answers and guidance.
  • May require travel to company events or industry trade shows.
  • Maintain regular communication with the direct Manager and or Regional Vice President of Sales for assistance in determining appropriate service guidelines and to discuss special requests or needs as necessary.
  • Assist assigned Region as requested by corporate management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
