About The Position

Our client, a manufacturer of specialized enterprise technology and hardware solutions, is seeking a Customer Operations Manager to join their team near Warwick. Having experienced double-digit growth over the last five years, they’re looking for someone who can bring structure, accountability, and operational leadership across customer service, order management, accounts receivable, and procurement related activities. This is a hands-on leadership role managing a team of two, where you'll balance team oversight with direct involvement in key operational processes. Working closely with sales, finance, supply chain, and executive leadership, you'll play a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while helping the organization scale for future growth. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day and likes being in the middle of the business, connecting the dots between customers, operations, procurement, and leadership. The right candidate is technologically savvy, comfortable working with data, and proficient in Excel and ERP systems, with a track record of improving processes, solving problems, and driving operational efficiency. Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B customer operations, business operations, or order management experience
  • Strong background in order management, inventory planning, and demand forecasting
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, reporting, and data analysis
  • Prior leadership experience or a demonstrated desire to transition into a management role
  • Experience working with ERP systems

Responsibilities

  • Lead customer operations, order management, and post-sales support functions
  • Manage and develop staff (2) to ensure high service levels and operational efficiency
  • Oversee order fulfillment processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex customer, order, and billing issues
  • Support accounts receivable activities and follow up on outstanding balances as needed
  • Partner with procurement on inventory planning, supplier coordination, and forecasting
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, and supply chain teams to support business objectives
  • Track operational KPIs and implement improvements to enhance performance and service
  • Leverage ERP and reporting tools to improve visibility, accuracy, and decision making
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of customer, order, and inventory data within ERP systems
  • Prepare operational reports and provide insights to support business decisions
