About The Position

We are immediately hiring a Customer Logistics Associate (Dispatch) in Austin, TX for our Supply Chain Solutions division. This role provides front-line supervision and administrative support for the location. Primarily responsible for the assignment of work to non-exempt personnel, as well as the attainment of daily operational goals within his/her assigned functional area. Requirements

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• One (1) year or more Warehouse, Transportation, Logistics or a distribution environment required.
• One (1) year or more Experience in a customer service environment required.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
• Ability to work independently and as member of a team.
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills internally as well as externally.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and accomplish work.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge/experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment (e.g., shipping, receiving, inventory management, distribution or dispatch) intermediate preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse, software applications, routing and dispatching software applications intermediate preferred.
• Understanding of DOT, OSHA and all other safety related regulations strongly preferred intermediate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line supervision and administrative support for the location.
• Assignment of work to non-exempt personnel.
• Attainment of daily operational goals within his/her assigned functional area.
• Payroll/Billing.
• Compliance with all Safety Maintenance and Compliance.
• DOT log review, preparation and submission.
• Conducts Safety Training/Orientations.
• First point of contact for collisions and injuries.
• Updates/Maintains STAR.
• Conducts safety meetings in conjunction with other management.
• Handles front line customer requests; identifies and elevates any customer issues if needed.
• Acts as a liaison between hourly workers and management.
• Elevates any employee relations issues as appropriate.
• Quality Assurance.
• Dispatch/Routing.
• Driver communications (e.g., location updates, settlement reports, weekly paycheck stubs).
• Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility (e.g., supplies, expenses, etc.).
• Maintains location A/P log.
• Supply/uniform ordering.
• Maintains all attendance/vacation records for hourly employees.
• Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting to Manager prior to distribution.
• RD 2000 Responsibilities.
• SOX invoice reconciliation preparation for approval at the highest level.
• Recommends location process initiation and/or improvements needed.
• Any location specific requirements may be required.
