About The Position

As a Customer Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the management of all customer finance and credit functions for the company. You will assist the manager on customer, sales, and deals matters. This role involves facilitating and encouraging the use of retail financing and related insurance products to increase company sales volume, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You will have ownership of the equipment financing process, including quoting, application, submission, documentation, and funding, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Additionally, you will coordinate with management to maintain beneficial relationships with finance companies and other entities providing financial services, and assist sales departments with the interpretation and application of Caterpillar programs to machine sales. The role also requires acquiring and maintaining a current state insurance license, completing continuing credit insurance education, and assisting sales departments in creating and updating required documentation for machine sales. You will review and approve Sales Agreements prior to sales administration personnel invoicing equipment and work closely with all other departments to assist them in serving customers. Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred or a minimum of 5 years prior finance and/or sales experience
  • Understanding of customer finance processes and ability to provide value and take ownership
  • Understanding of the terminology related to the products and services that the company sells in order to properly set up and process prime product financing
  • Knowledge of warranty administration and insurance
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to drive and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the equipment financing process including quoting, application, submission, documentation, funding ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate with management to maintain relationships beneficial to the company with finance companies and other entities providing financial services to the company.
  • Assist sales department(s) with interpretation of Caterpillar programs and how to apply the programs to machine sales.
  • Acquire and maintain current state insurance license, completing continuing credit insurance education as needed.
  • Assist sales department(s) in creating and updating required documentation for the machine sale.
  • Review and approve Sales Agreements prior to sales administration personnel invoicing equipment.
  • Work closely with all other departments within the company to assist them in serving our customers.
  • Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.
