High School/GED degree
Must demonstrate abilities for employment

Knowledge of hand tools

Field Mobility Classification - Work will be performed in various field locations, as needed, after the onboarding period. However, field employees are required to live within a reasonable daily commute to their assigned work location.
Must work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
Frequent bending, stooping, standing, digging, climbing
Works on uneven terrain, many times with heavy vegetation
Manual dexterity (hand/eye coordination)
Keen eyesight
Good hearing
Good sense of smell
Comes in frequent contact with insects and animals
Ability to use SCBA when responding to gas leaks
This position contains a weight restriction of 275 pounds as an essential function of the job. The purpose of this restriction is to ensure that all weight-rated equipment is used in an appropriate and safe manner within maximum allowed weight loading.
Weekend and evening work as required.
Subject to extended working hours and must be available for call-out and emergency response.
Some rotating shifts.
Commercial driver’s license (CDL) required
Prior related experience or completion of an accredited training program
5-15% Travel Requirements

Nice To Haves

Three (3) or more years of experience involving excavations operating backhoes and excavators
Must have a valid Class A CDL to be considered for Level II

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of activities associated with pipeline installation and maintenance including Operate backhoe, trencher, cranes, jackhammers
Make taps
Fuse plastic pipe
Perform maintenance on equipment and/or ensure routine maintenance is performed
“Squeeze-off” steel and plastic
Set-up for job (ensure tools and equipment available)
Install leak clamps
Layout of line
Cut, thread, and re-wrap pipes
Perform site excavation
Performs and assists in related activities
Traffic control
Locate pipelines
Assist with purges
Retire services
Assist in relocating service lines
Change stop-cocks
Performs above functions utilizing a variety of tools and equipment
Perform other duties as assigned and required
