About The Position

Wise Snacks is seeking a Route Sales Representative for Goldsboro, NC. The primary purpose of this role is to represent the company in the field, selling and delivering products to ensure customers receive high-quality service and to meet deadlines and timely deliveries. The overall goal is to increase sales and profits. This role involves ensuring execution standards in all stores, maximizing space utilization to boost sales, seeking opportunities for incremental sales, and demonstrating the proper use of POS to drive sales. The representative will ensure stores are serviced according to their sales volume to prevent stockouts, meet all sales goals, generate new leads for new business, and build the organization's client base. Responsibilities also include managing inventory, placing orders, and loading, unloading, and driving products to their destinations. The role focuses on ensuring profitable growth, servicing stores, growing routes to enable splits for increased service and sales, and strategically using discounts to maximize sales. Additionally, it involves setting up and managing routes to reduce costs through RTM (Route to Market) and time management, and educating on good business practices.

Requirements

  • 2 years in DSD (Direct Store Delivery) sales experience
  • 1 year managerial experience (i.e. merchandisers)
  • Good numerical skills
  • Prior supermarket sales experience
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to get in and out of the vehicle on a regular basis

Nice To Haves

  • Prior food or salty snack industry experience
  • +3 years managerial experience
  • +5 years Customer Service Industry
  • +5 Years' experience with supermarket channel

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Executions Standards on all stores
  • Maximize the use of space to increase sales
  • Seek and secure all opportunities for incremental sales
  • Show the proper use of POS to drive sales
  • Ensure servicing the stores accordingly to their sales to eliminate Out of Stock
  • Meet all sales goals and be able to generate new leads to solicit new business and build their organization's client base
