The Customer Experience Associate is responsible for greeting customers, answering questions, resolving concerns promptly and professionally, and increasing customer satisfaction by following company policies related to customer check out. This role involves operating scanning equipment and cash registers, performing check-out procedures efficiently, bagging merchandise, and maintaining accuracy in transactions. The associate must adhere to proper security measures and cash drawer accounting procedures, and follow all store and legal guidelines for the sale of tobacco and alcohol. Maintaining knowledge of weekly ads, promotions, and store layout is crucial for assisting customers. Additionally, the associate is responsible for general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and guidelines to ensure work areas and equipment are well-maintained and meet health and OSHA requirements. Proper trash disposal, cooperation with co-workers and supervisors for smooth department and store function, and continuous improvement of job performance are expected. The associate must also utilize all company-provided Personal Protected Equipment (PPE), such as cut-resistant gloves and safety cutters. This position may also involve assisting in other departments.
