About The Position

Acoustical Sheetmetal Company (ASC) provides on-site power integration for large-scale data centers. We offer sound-attenuated and weather-protective packaging for on-site power generation equipment, with products ranging from economical skin-tight enclosures to entire multi-unit power plants. Role Overview The Customer Equipment Tech supports the Customer Equipment Supervisor in maintaining accurate records of Customer Equipment. This role ensures all inventory transactions are processed correctly and efficiently to support production schedules and prevent shortages or overages. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or material handling environment
  • Basic understanding of inventory management systems and practices
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar inventory tracking software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate material handling equipment
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Forklift certification or OSHA safety training
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S practices
  • Associate’s degree or coursework in Supply Chain, Business, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inventory activities, including receiving, storing, issuing, and counting of materials.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the inventory system.
  • Assist in conducting regular cycle counts and monthly physical inventories.
  • Identify and report discrepancies or damaged materials to the Inventory Control Supervisor.
  • Help organize and maintain warehouse areas, labeling, and bin locations for efficient storage.
  • Support the movement of materials between departments and facilities as required.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, and Shipping to ensure timely material availability.
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
