Atlassian•San Francisco, CA
•$36 - $51•Remote

About The Position

Atlassian's intern program combines hands-on technical training, professional development, mentorship, and social connections. This approach helps students start productively and positions them for a successful career at Atlassian. This position is not eligible for F-1 or J-1 students and does not offer work sponsorship. Our paid internship runs 12 weeks between May/June 2027 and August/September 2027. We are seeking a Customer Engagement Marketing Intern to focus on persona-based marketing to C-suite executives and enterprise decision-makers globally. You will inventory executive-facing thought leadership content and communications, and audit existing assets to identify gaps and opportunities across the customer journey that deepen customer engagement with Atlassian. You will identify current and future assets—along with reusable customer advocacy stories and proof points that resonate with enterprise decision-makers—and package them into connected nurture streams to engage C-suite executive audiences before, during, and after key programs and events.

Requirements

  • Ability to distill key takeaways from complex information
  • Understanding of how storytelling influences people toward action
  • Curiosity and passion for marketing and communications
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, returning to the program after completing the internship, and graduating by June 2028
  • Ability to commit to a full-time internship (40 hours/week)
  • Entry-level candidates with less than a year of professional experience (excluding internships and co-ops)

Responsibilities

  • Inventory executive-facing thought leadership content, assets, and customer-facing communications from Atlassian, as well as customer proof points that support C-suite engagement and influence executive enterprise decision-makers.
  • Design a persona-based C-suite content packaging framework that maps messages, stories, and assets to executive audiences.
  • Create a pre-, during-, and post-event nurture map to guide executive engagement across key moments.
  • Produce a reusable enablement asset, such as an external C-suite executive persona messaging playbook, for future global executive engagement programs.
  • Work closely with the Brand Marketing Intern to audit how Atlassian's AI and enterprise narrative appears across social, web, sales, and events, identifying inconsistencies that affect credibility with C-suite executive audiences and impact data-driven campaigns for enterprise decision-makers.
  • Partner with Customer Marketing, Product Marketing, Executive Programs, Global Demand, Regional and Partner Marketing, GTM, and other stakeholders to validate recommendations and prepare at least one deliverable for planning adoption.
