About The Position

Customer Development Executive - McCurrach on behalf of The Magnum Ice Cream Company. This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week, based in Washington & Surrounding areas (Ideal postcode NE37). The role involves promoting the total Walls portfolio to a range of independent customers and identifying and winning new, high-potential accounts. Working to a dynamic, data-led call plan, you will shape and execute your territory strategy with the support of your Regional Manager. The focus will be on driving growth through increased distribution, availability, visibility, compliance, and execution of iconic ice cream brands. Requirements

  • Full valid driving licence
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Live within commute from the location of the role
  • IT-literate, comfortable using MS Office and CRM or other sales systems
  • Organised and disciplined, with strong administration, planning, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
  • Full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 pts or previous bans)
  • Successful completion of a DVLA licence check

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in FMCG, Direct Sales, Convenience, or Field Sales, with a proven ability to develop accounts or territories.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with customers by building strong, long-lasting relationships, understanding their business needs and local consumers, and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Drive outstanding in-store execution, ensuring optimal availability, compliance, and visibility through practical activation and influence over wholesaler transfer orders.
  • Create and deliver a winning territory business plan, taking a business development approach to grow distribution, sales, and market share.
  • Use data and insights to track performance, deliver against KPIs, and embed best practice across your territory and wider team.
  • Manage CAPEX assets such as Freezers on Loan and premium POS, ensuring outlets meet contractual terms and conditions.
  • Support the execution of Joint Business Plans (JBPs) within QSR chains at a store level.
  • Maintain strong administrative standards, ensuring all systems, reporting, and compliance tasks are completed accurately and on time.
