About The Position

As a Customer Delivery Architect - Wireless, you will support Service Provider and Enterprise accounts within the Cisco Customer Experience Team. Your primary role will be the delivery of Wireless Planning, Design, Implementation & Optimization Services to Cisco's major accounts. This includes performing architectural planning and design, providing configuration and integration support, and offering operational support for complex wireless network deployments. You will also be responsible for identifying and documenting design/architecture best practices for global Cisco Services adoption.

Requirements

  • BSEE/CS or equivalent plus 5-10 years of experience in a network engineering or telecommunications support environment.
  • Strong technical account management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Wireless technology—specifically Catalyst IOS XE WLC units including virtual appliances.
  • RF Design, Survey/Engineering, and troubleshooting skills using either Ekahau or Hamina.
  • IP Network Design skills.
  • A working understanding of successfully deploying Cisco Spaces within a customer environment.
  • Experience designing and deploying key WLAN applications (Voice over WLAN, Context-Aware Location-Based Services, and Wireless Guest Access).
  • Thorough understanding of WLAN security and network management (including ISE and/or RADIUS services).
  • Expert-level inter-networking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of Wireless Planning, Design, Implementation & Optimization Services to Cisco's major accounts.
  • Performs architectural planning and design along with configuration and integration support.
  • Provides operational support for complex, wireless network deployments.
  • Identify & document design/architecture best practices for global Cisco Services adoption.
  • Participate in complex network design, performance engineering, troubleshooting and problem resolution for WLAN related projects.
