Dealing with a technical client base, you will assist customers in ordering and receiving our products through phone and e-mail communication. You will process orders, quotations and general inquiries using an AS400 based system and web-based applications, while providing front line assistance to our Outside Sales force. Your role involves coordinating material flow between supply chain and distribution partners and assisting in larger project execution. This position requires strong customer service skills, knowledge of pipeline principles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced demanding environment with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in customer relations, preferably with technical products
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and multi-task in a demanding environment
  • Proven people skills and customer relationship building abilities
  • A high degree of emotional intelligence and business integrity
  • Willingness to be a team player while working independently with little direction
  • Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
  • Familiarity with MS Office Applications and AS400/BPCS systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of basic pipeline principles (an asset)
  • University degree or college diploma preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders on web-based and BPCS (AS400) system
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Expedite and source product to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Deliver above and beyond customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with internal departments and supply chain partners to facilitate customer needs
  • Assist with stock checks, pricing requests, and quotations
  • Support larger project execution and coordination
