About The Position

The Customer Development (CD) organization at Unilever focuses on working closely with customers to create and implement joint business plans that deliver value for both the customer and Unilever. CD leaders are instrumental in pioneering new products, building categories, and deploying best-in-class retail and shopper capabilities. The Customer Business Manager (CBM) is responsible for developing sustained business relationships and driving profitable sales volume for Unilever Foods at Amazon, with a particular emphasis on Amazon Grocery as a strategic growth partner for Foods US. This role aims to unlock Amazon’s full potential across the Foods portfolio, accelerating growth through strong customer partnership, digital commerce excellence, and integrated commercial planning to achieve the ambition of 10Xing the Amazon Foods business by 2030. The CBM will be tasked with exceeding sales and share goals while improving the return on holistic customer investment, aligning with joint business plan targets and customer and brand strategies. Additionally, the CBM will enhance online presence by leading execution across a cross-functional team including Retailer Marketing, Media, Consumer Insights, Finance, Business Development, and Supply Chain.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • 7+ years’ experience as a Sales Leader.
  • Deep working knowledge of eCommerce fundamentals, including traffic drivers, conversion, search, and shopper journey.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively relate with multiple levels of management, both internally and externally.
  • Strategic thinker who can work effectively and collaboratively.
  • Strong relationship-building and management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Amazon, eCommerce, or omni-channel retail is a plus.
  • Ability to provide leadership and direction for best-practice implementation.
  • Working knowledge of Nielsen/Circana, Trade Promotion Management, and customer POS data, such as Amazon Vendor Central, is strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated proficiency or strong aptitude with AI-enabled tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to enhance analytics, content development, and workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the multi-functional effort with customer counterparts; develop and execute joint business plans; manage NSV and trade investment; and lead promotional execution.
  • Maintain and execute onsite organic PDP content.
  • Customize corporate marketing and merchandising programs to win with Amazon; coordinate and manage CD initiatives; and support Joint Business Plans.
  • Drive strategic relationships and accelerated growth while operating within approved Trade Marketing parameters and improving trade investment efficiency.
  • Routinely interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders, balancing individual customer needs while ensuring total market integrity.
  • Develop and manage relationships with Amazon stakeholders; manage and lead the Amazon Fresh business within the broader Amazon Grocery strategy.
