About The Position

The Customer Account Representative, Strategic Accounts, will serve as the primary sales contact for approximately 100-150 accounts. This role will handle the customer relationships, account sales performance, focusing on selling and growing accounts that are not assigned or managed by a Strategic Accounts Manager. Requirements

  • Prior sales and/or customer service experience is required.
  • Exhibit a highly motivated customer service-oriented mentality with ability to build long term relationships focused on sales.
  • Ability to react well in a fast-paced environment, follow through on commitments, work independently and set self-motivated goals.
  • Proven track record of responding quickly to customer needs and ability to make decisions in a timely manner.
  • Requires excellent communication, time management, problem solving and organizational skills with a high-level autonomy and decision-making.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of company products and services necessary for success.
  • Must have strong business acumen
  • This position requires the result of a satisfactory criminal record check.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of AS400 system would be an asset
  • Experience in Wholesale Distribution as it relates to Plumbing, HVAC/R, Waterworks, Industrial would be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and maintain contact with customers through inbound and outbound calls, actively identifying their requirements, offering product information, and providing tailored solutions.
  • Develop relationships with assigned accounts to influence sales and margin growth within our service and product offerings.
  • Provide personalized customer service through timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Be an expert on our strategic product offering and services.
  • Be a creative problem solver with the ability to understand and resolve customer issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Work closely with internal teams such as OSRs, Sales Managers, Branch Team, Category Management, … to facilitate seamless customer service, order processing, and timely issue resolution.
  • Serve as the sales representative handling customer needs ranging from quotations and orders through post-delivery support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, interactions, and transactions in our CRM system to ensure efficient tracking and follow-up.
  • Compliance to SOP’s and Policies.
