About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Custom Metal Fabricator & TIG Welder to support the production of fabricated metal assemblies and custom railing systems. This role combines layout, fitting, fabrication, assembly, and TIG welding responsibilities in a manufacturing environment focused on quality craftsmanship. The ideal candidate has experience working with aluminum and stainless steel, can read fabrication drawings, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality finished products.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated TIG welding experience with aluminum and stainless steel materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and dimensional specifications.
  • Experience using tape measures, layout tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Working knowledge of fabrication math, including measurements, fractions, and basic geometry.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication, fit-up, and welding issues independently.
  • Experience operating fabrication machinery and metalworking equipment.
  • Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekend hours when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production specifications.
  • Measure, mark, cut, and prepare materials for assembly and welding.
  • Fit and assemble metal components using fixtures, clamps, jigs, and layout tools.
  • Verify dimensions and alignment prior to final welding.
  • Resolve fit-up and fabrication issues to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Perform TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and similar materials.
  • Produce welds that meet appearance and structural requirements.
  • Inspect completed welds and make adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain quality standards throughout the fabrication process.
  • Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, notchers, and other metalworking tools.
  • Move materials and completed assemblies using forklifts, pallet jacks, and lifting equipment when required.
  • Perform routine care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Follow work instructions, drawings, and established fabrication procedures.
  • Meet production deadlines while maintaining workmanship standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area.
  • Adapt to changing production priorities and workload demands.
