About The Position

Become part of a great custom manufacturing shop with national high-profile jobs to talk about! As a Custom Metal Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for following technical blueprints while forging various materials to create unique and high visibility architectural elements. You will be assigned fabrication projects where you will be responsible for from start to finish; blueprint reading, material selection, cutting, forming, welding, and wiring through final assembly to meet client’s vision and specifications. You will ensure quality control standards are met throughout the fabrication process while ensuring safety guidelines are followed. Our fabrication projects are unique and different from each other. The architectural elements and signs produced are often fabricated for and installed at major sports facilities, amusement parks, entertainment and hospitality venues like casinos and hotels, and all types and sizes of signs, scoreboards, building facades, architectural elements, canopies, ornamental enclosures and much more.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years’ experience in Fabrication – steel, aluminum preferred
  • Welding abilities in MIG, flux core, aluminum, TIG, and/or stick
  • Blueprint reading capability
  • Ability to operate a wide range of hand and power tools
  • Good dexterity
  • Strong work ethic
  • Spectacular attention to detail
  • Ability to read tape measure
  • Good organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Certified welding certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting product drawings, along with assembly instructions
  • Verifying dimensions and product specifications
  • Selecting materials per work orders
  • Use shears, torches, press brakes, or drill press as needed per job specifications to create parts to specified shapes and lengths
  • Fit, tack, and weld a variety of aluminum or steel structures per fabrication requirements, using primarily MIG welding processes
  • Finish parts and assemblies by grinding, polishing, and cleaning to prepare for paint application
  • Run electrical wiring and install lighting, as applicable, per schematics
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration to ensure production flow efficiently
  • Any other additional duties assigned by the leader
