About The Position

The Custody Operations Specialist researches and monitors financial-account exceptions, including returned wires, funds awaiting proper placement, and account overdrafts. The role provides oversight and tracking of exceptions rather than primarily resolving or processing the underlying transactions directly. The specialist works with internal business partners to gather information, obtain status updates, and follow up regularly to help move issues toward resolution. When email communication is insufficient, the specialist may coordinate and lead calls with appropriate partners. The role supports account and asset-level maintenance for WMIS client accounts and products and involves working across multiple systems, platforms, and exception categories. The specialist manages competing responsibilities while meeting deadlines and Service Level Agreements, follows established procedures and operational requirements, and participates in cross-training across team functions. Established procedures are available to support the work.
