About The Position

The Custody Operations Specialist researches and monitors financial-account exceptions, including returned wires, funds awaiting proper placement, and account overdrafts. The role works with internal business partners to gather information, track outstanding items, and follow up regularly to move issues toward resolution. It provides oversight of exceptions rather than primarily resolving or processing the underlying transactions directly. The position involves working across multiple systems and platforms, managing varied exception types, and communicating with internal departments by email and phone. When email communication is insufficient to advance an issue, the specialist may coordinate and lead calls with appropriate business partners. The team offers cross-training across functions and provides established procedures to support the work. The role also supports account- and asset-level maintenance for WMIS client accounts and products, while meeting deadlines, Service Level Agreements, and operational requirements.
