About The Position

Custodian - Fairchild AFB Location: Airway Heights, Washington, (Fairchild AFB and surrounding areas) Type: Non-Exempt Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday and occasional weekends (4:00am – 11:30am, 7:30am – 3:00pm, Or 11:30am – 7:00pm) Once trained, the regular shift will be 7:00 am – 3:00 pm (This position requires driving) Compensation: $18.11 - $18.11/hour, an additional $5.09/hour cash payout is offered with qualifying health insurance. Tessera is seeking a Motivated and Hard-Working Custodian with a positive/can-do attitude. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Follow all industrial safety guidelines, apply required safety training, and actively promote a safe and healthy work environment at all worksites. Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, coworkers, and site personnel at all times. Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and replenish supplies in accordance with contract standards, following all cross-contamination procedures. Sweep, wet/dry mop, vacuum, and dust offices, hallways, high-traffic areas, doorways, stairwells, and building entrances and exits according to established schedules and contract requirements. Collect and remove trash and recyclables from lunchrooms, coffee areas, restrooms, shower and locker areas, and office spaces in compliance with contract standards and schedules. Restock janitorial and facility supplies daily to ensure areas are properly maintained. Clean shower stalls, damp wipe surfaces to remove dust, restock supplies, and mop floors while following cross-contamination procedures. Maintain janitor lockers (J-lockers) by practicing good housekeeping in accordance with EM 385-1-1 requirements, including daily cleaning and organization. Clean, rinse, and properly store all equipment after each use. Operate wet/dry vacuum equipment in assigned areas according to the established schedule. Secure and lock doors after cleaning is completed in assigned areas. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • 0 – 3 years of previous custodian or janitorial experience preferred
  • Combination of experience and education will be considered
