Custodian - Houseworker - Evening Shift - Kane Elementary School
About The Position
The Building Custodian is generally responsible for the achievement of the purposes of custodian services in the building, i.e., preserve property values, protect health and safety of occupants; support the educational objectives of the building and provide a climate of learning, develop goodwill and maintain cleanliness and neatness. This is a year-round position with school year hours from M-F 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM and summer hours from M-F 6:30 AM-3:00 PM. Occasional weekend hours may be required in the summer. The effective date of employment is as soon as possible.
Requirements
- Physical and mental capabilities to perform above work
- Ability to understand spoken and written English
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Grounds upkeep, snow removal
- Perform all other general duties as indicated by the Principal, directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, the Custodial Supervisor or his/her designee, and policies of the Marlborough School Committee
