About The Position
The Warehouse Handyman / Sanitation Support employee is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of the warehouse facility. This position supports warehouse operations by performing sanitation duties, minor repairs, preventive maintenance, and general facility support.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse or maintenance experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Forklift certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Clean docks, warehouse floors, break rooms, restrooms, and common areas
- Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly
- Perform minor building repairs and maintenance
- Repair pallets, shelving, doors and warehouse fixtures
- Assist with painting, light plumbing, and basic electrical tasks when needed
- Conduct routine inspections of warehouse areas for safety hazards
- Support pest control and contamination prevention programs
- Maintain sanitation and maintenance logs
- Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely
- Assist with warehouse organization and housekeeping projects
- Follow company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
- Support management with special facility projects as assigned
