About The Position

This is a part-time, seasonal position (June 15th - August 28th) for a Custodian at the Middletown YMCA Family Location. The role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the building facility and property, ensuring all areas are clean and safe, and performing light maintenance tasks. The position also involves assisting with room setups for meetings and events and refilling bathroom supplies. During winter months, the role may involve snow removal. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.

Responsibilities

Maintain and keep building facility and property in clean and orderly condition such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, and vacuuming.
Gather and empty trash.
Ensure all restrooms, locker rooms, hallways, stairwells, program rooms, fitness centers and outside grounds are clean and safe.
Move furniture and equipment as required to properly and thoroughly clean areas including windows.
Assist with setting up rooms for meetings and events and breaking down of seating and equipment.
Ensure bathroom supplies including and not limited to, toilet tissue, towels, soap etc. are refilled.
During winter months be prepared to assist with snow removal.
Perform light maintenance tasks as assigned.
Notify managers regarding the need for repairs.
