About The Position
This is a 2nd shift Custodial position at Washington Street Elementary, starting with the 2026-27 school year. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, for a total of 40 hours per week. This position involves daily cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, and hallways, including tasks such as emptying trash, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting, and ensuring doors and windows are locked.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Background check/fingerprints upon hire
- Experience with cleaning and custodial preferred
Responsibilities
- Daily classroom cleaning, including emptying trash, sweeping/vacuuming, spot mopping and locking of doors and windows.
- Daily restroom cleaning, including disinfecting all fixtures, emptying trash, refilling soap and paper products, and removing graffiti and litter.
- Daily hallway cleaning, including picking up trash, emptying trash, sweeping/vacuuming hallway and entry rugs, and spot mopping hard floors.
