About The Position

The custodian position is responsible for the cleaning of assigned areas to maintain a safe, organized, and sanitary environment for users of those areas. Moody Bible Institute is a Christian-based Higher Education and Media Ministry. We exist to equip people with the Truth of God’s Word. If you are mission-minded, and have a servant’s heart, join us as we look to further impact the Kingdom of God. This is a full time position: Monday-Friday, typically 12pm-8:30pm for second shift. Schedules may be modified during school breaks. The employee is expected to be available to work overtime for some yearly events. No local travel is expected for this position. This job operates throughout all areas of the campus. The employee cleans in bathrooms, offices, classrooms, hallways, stairwells, and other spaces. The specific areas of work are assigned by the custodial supervisor. Nice To Haves

High School degree or equivalent.
Cleaning experience, with knowledge of custodial equipment and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Cleans bathrooms, carpets, floors, walls, windows, and other surfaces.
Disposes of trash and recycling.
Monitors and restocks supplies in restrooms, kitchens, and public areas.
Maintains custodial closets organized, cleaned, and well-stocked.
Operates custodial cleaning equipment for such duties as cleaning carpets, scrubbing floors, or pressure spraying bathrooms or showers.
Adheres to all safety procedures, including use of personal protective equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
