About The Position

Mason City Schools is seeking a Custodian for the Mason Early Childhood Center. This is a full-time position with 8 paid hours per day and a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch. The shift is Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must be able to pass a BCI and FBI criminal background check
• Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, squat and lift in excess of 50 lbs on a routine and ongoing basis
• Must have reliable transportation to travel between buildings/departments
• Must have a proven history of good attendance

Responsibilities

• Shall be responsible for following a daily schedule of cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming and dusting in all areas assigned by the supervisor.
• Shall follow a daily schedule of cleaning furniture, shades, drapes, windows, restrooms, door and storage areas, etc. as assigned.
• Shall report in writing to administration anything he/she observes which may be in need of repair or maintenance attention.
• Responsible for securing the building at night.
• Shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or head custodian.
