About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure that school facilities are kept in a safe, sanitary, and attractive condition. The Custodian will perform duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, and restroom cleaning. This role also involves minor repairs and reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel. The position is 12 Months / 8 Hours per day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with custodial work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must complete the entire work history in the "Experience and Credentials" section of the application, including periods of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work.
• Required documents for the job must be attached at the time of application.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors.
• Empty trash receptacles and remove refuse to designated areas.
• Clean windows, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance and repair tasks.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Follow all safety regulations and procedures.
