About The Position

50 North has supported older adults and their families in Hancock County through life’s important transitions for over 50 years. Our mission is to enrich lives and support independence for individuals age 50 and older through programs focused on activities, wellness, nutrition, outreach, and daily living support. This is a full-time position where you can make a difference every day.

Requirements

• Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions
• Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends for special events

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior custodial, housekeeping, or maintenance experience preferred but not required
• Willing to train qualified candidates

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of offices, restrooms, activity rooms, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces
• Clean and restock restrooms and replenish supplies
• Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly
• Set up and tear down tables, chairs, and equipment for programs and events
• Maintain outdoor areas, including entrances, sidewalks, and porches
• Perform light laundry duties as needed
• Assist with snow removal and apply salt or ice melt during winter conditions
• Respond to custodial and facility setup requests in a timely manner
• Report maintenance, safety, or repair concerns to appropriate personnel
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain an organized work environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations
