Custodian - Wenatchee Plant
About The Position
This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the Wenatchee Plant. The role involves a variety of cleaning tasks, ensuring that all areas, including restrooms, lunchrooms, and general plant spaces, are kept to high standards. Adherence to Tree Top's operational policies, safety rules, good manufacturing practices, and food safety requirements is essential. The employee must be able to report food safety and quality issues to appropriate personnel and maintain regular, predictable attendance. This is a representative sample of duties, and other tasks may be assigned.
Requirements
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, reach, feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to climb or balance.
- Ability to talk, hear, taste or smell.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Ability to occasionally climb and balance.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision for testing, distance vision, color vision for testing and seeing color, peripheral vision to observe two processes, depth perception for working with equipment, and the ability to adjust focus for seeing defective material.
- Ability to work in environments with extreme heat, moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, electrical shock, high precarious positions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, all weather conditions, vibrations, and loud noise.
- Ability to work in a usually loud environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean restrooms, empty trash, mop and wax floors, clean windows, clean lunchrooms, vacuum.
- Maintain the entrance to the plant.
- Shovel snow.
- Oil and polish woodwork.
- Notify management of inventory/supply status.
- Maintain sanitary equipment and clean areas of the plant.
- Supply areas with paper, soap, and sanitary items.
- Remove trash.
- Practice GMP and food safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively.
