About The Position

Under close supervision, perform routine custodial activities at assigned KAFB buildings. This role involves serving all participants, members of the LifeROOTS Team, board members, vendors, suppliers, and the public. The position requires adherence to LifeROOTS, Inc. safety policies and procedures, and participation in the company's quality improvement, financial management, and Health and Safety programs. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment, relying instead on instructions and pre-established guidelines.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must meet AbilityOne Requirements.
Fingerprints, background check, and drug screen.
Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position without hazard to self or others.
Non-sedentary work requiring walking, frequent bending, lifting and carrying 60 pounds occasionally.

Nice To Haves

HS Diploma or GED or 1 year custodial experience.

Responsibilities

Vacuuming floors, sweeping and wet mopping floors, cleaning commodes, sinks, urinals, and walk-off mats.
Moving furniture and removing trash.
Low dusting and cleaning glass and drinking fountains.
Spot cleaning and re-supplying restrooms.
Operating custodial equipment such as vacuums, mops, small hand and power tools, and buffer/scrubber machines.
Reporting safety, sanitary, and fire hazards to Crew Leader, Custodial Supervisor, and Project Manager.
Performing scheduled tasks in a safe manner and adhering to LifeROOTS, Inc. safety policies.
Complying with all applicable LifeROOTS policies and procedures.
Participating in the company’s quality improvement program and ensuring department-applicable quality improvement requirements are fulfilled.
Participating in the company’s financial management and ensuring department-applicable fiscal responsibilities are fulfilled.
Participating in the company’s Health and Safety program and ensuring department-applicable Health and Safety responsibilities are fulfilled.
Performing other related duties as assigned by the Crew Leader, Custodial Supervisor, or Project Manager.
