About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for following established cleaning methods in performing daily duties. This includes cleaning the floors, restrooms, windows, parking lots, production and dock, and dumpster areas. The role also involves other housekeeping duties as directed by management, including check stands. Additionally, the Custodian will assist customers with carry-outs (e.g., furniture, mattresses) and remove empty clothing racks, totes, barrels, and boxes from the store to a specified area in the facility.

Requirements

Prior experience in cleaning/housekeeping preferred.
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions and perform routine and repetitive duties.
Visual acuity to detect cleanliness.
Neat appearance.
Ability to communicate clearly with customers and other Team Members.
Documentation to satisfy I-9 requirements.
Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.
Must be able to work standing for prolonged periods of time.
Must be sufficiently mobile to work in the entire facility.

Responsibilities

Clean floors, restrooms, windows, parking lots, production and dock, and dumpster areas.
Perform other housekeeping duties as directed by the Retail Operations Manager or Assistant Retail Operations Manager, including check stands.
Help customers with carry outs (e.g., furniture, mattresses).
Remove empty clothing racks, totes, barrels, and boxes from store to specified area in the facility.
Perform a variety of duties to include dry and wet mopping, wall and glass cleaning, restroom sanitation, waste removal and floor care procedures with the use of vacuum cleaners and buffers.
