About The Position

Maintain appropriate sanitation levels in and around company facilities while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The role includes cleaning hallways, stairs, breakrooms, and office spaces; washing and sweeping facility areas; removing trash, ice, and pallet pieces; and performing general maintenance throughout the facility, including warehouse and freezer areas. The custodian may also monitor cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring equipment is in good working condition and stored properly and that stock levels are maintained. The position may involve working with machinery and material handling equipment. Work can take place in cold storage temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C or dry storage temperatures up to 100°F/37°C, while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear. The role requires lifting at least 20 pounds, working amid varying noise levels, and having a flexible schedule that may include weekends. The listed pay range is $16.90–$26.11. Requirements

Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment and pallet jacks.
Comfort handling cleaning chemicals.
Basic math skills.
Ability to understand instructions in the country’s official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds/9 kilograms; required weight may be greater depending on the facility.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
Comfort working with varying noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways, stairs, breakrooms, and office spaces.
Wash and sweep inside the facility and pick up discarded trash.
Perform general maintenance throughout the facility, including the warehouse and freezer.
Remove ice and pick up pieces of pallets.
Keep grounds clean and free of debris.
Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are in good working condition and properly secured after use; maintain stock levels by conducting routine checks as needed.
Work with other machinery and material handling equipment.
