About The Position
The Custodian is responsible for performing routine custodial duties in assigned areas to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. This includes cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, emptying trash receptacles, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, and performing other related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous custodial experience preferred.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in assigned areas.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Clean windows, doors, and walls.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
