About The Position

The Custodian provides custodial services at assigned locations, ensuring an attractive, sanitary, and safe environment for employee owners and visitors. This role involves performing a variety of special cleaning operations and assisting in preparing facilities for routine and special occasions.

Requirements

• Ability to operate equipment including: vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mop, brooms, and other job-related equipment as assigned
• Must have ability to work with little to no supervision, maintain confidentiality, and be able to independently determine tasks to complete daily
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning practices
• Ability to perform multiple tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills to meet changing job conditions
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with managers, co-workers, visitors, and others
• Capability to work around dust and with cleaning chemicals
• Observes safety and security procedures; Uses equipment properly.
• Identifies and resolves issues in a timely manner.
• Speaks clearly, listens, and receives clarification, respond to questions.
• Follows instructions, responds to management direction, and takes responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and scrub hallways, stairs, bathrooms, factory, break areas, and office space
• Ensure buildings and grounds are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition
• Empty trash and garbage containers
• Inventory necessary cleaning supplies
• Continually participate in additional training related to the job
• Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area
• Demonstrate regular, consistent attendance
