About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and organization of our manufacturing facility and offices. This role is crucial for ensuring a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers. We take pride in our facility and want to showcase it, playing an integral part in the production of critical parts for the medical, aeronautics, and military fields, as well as everyday items. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment
  • Ability to maintain a regular and reliable attendance record
  • Fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must be able to read a ruler/tape measure and analog clock
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, move heavy objects, as needed
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience in custodial or janitorial field
  • Experience cleaning a manufacturing facility, offices, bathrooms, and exterior debris removal.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility and on premises, following a planned daily, weekly, monthly schedule.
  • Ensure a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as wiping surfaces, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and exterior debris removal.
  • Sanitize and disinfect surfaces, restrooms, and common areas.
  • Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly.
  • Restock supplies in restrooms and common areas.
  • Assist in setting up and cleaning after company events or meetings.
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including the proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Secure doors after cleaning to maintain building security.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
