About The Position

Responsible for maintaining the childcare facility in a clean and orderly condition. This includes ensuring that all equipment, grounds, and buildings are properly maintained, secured, and operational. The role involves daily cleaning tasks, routine maintenance, groundskeeping, and assisting the supervisor as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED REQUIRED
Supplemented by one (1) year of experience in general maintenance work, any variety of custodial, handyman, and janitorial tasks or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Certificate of good health and completed TB test.
Required to have fingerprint and background check and drug test.
MUST PASS LEVEL 2 BACKGROUND
MUST PASS DRUG SCREENING

Experience in school setting a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintains facility in clean and orderly condition during scheduled time such as emptying trash cans, sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms & lunch rooms, keeping supplies stocked and changing light bulbs; disinfecting children zones with harm-free products.
Performs routine maintenance activities such as cleaning a/c vents and gutters.
Maintains the grounds by cleaning debris; collects trash and cardboard throughout the facility.
Operates pressure cleaner to clean parking lots, walkways, playground, etc.
Regular duties cover the complete childcare HS/EHS site located at Downtown Miami Center
Notifies supervisor and other designees of need for repairs, or replacements.
Assists supervisor as needed with other duties as assigned.
