About The Position

The Custodian efficiently cleans offices, break rooms and areas, restrooms, and other assigned spaces, and maintains an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies. The role communicates cleaning-supply needs to the maintenance department, uses required safety equipment, and may support other distribution and maintenance activities. Work takes place in a multi-channel, multi-shift distribution environment and may require flexible shifts, extended hours, daily overtime, holidays, and consecutive days of work. The position involves prolonged standing and physical exertion, including walking, stooping, climbing, and repeatedly lifting cases weighing up to 40 pounds, as well as working in varying to extreme temperatures. Management determines the holiday schedule and blackout periods during which vacation or personal time is unavailable.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be available to work in a multi-channel, multi-shift distribution environment and work different shifts and extended hours based on business needs.
• Must be able to stand and work for long periods, including daily overtime, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Must be able to perform intermittent continuous physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift cases weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to work in varying to extreme temperatures.
• Must be available to work consecutive days, potentially 14 or more days in a row.
• Must comply with management-determined blackout periods when vacation or personal time is not allowed.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, break rooms and break areas, restrooms, and other assigned areas.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Communicate cleaning-supply inventory needs to the maintenance department.
• Wear appropriate safety equipment, work boots, and gloves as required.
• Complete additional distribution functions as instructed, including supporting maintenance activities.
• Work daily overtime while maintaining a good attendance record.
