About The Position
As a Custodian with JLL, you will be the foundation of a safe, clean, and orderly environment for our clients. Your role is essential to maintaining our facilities and ensuring they meet the highest standards of presentation and operational excellence. You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of cleaning and minor maintenance duties, playing a direct and vital role in the daily experience of every person in the building. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a commercial cleaning, custodial, or janitorial role.
- Knowledge of standard cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow instructions.
- Physical capacity to perform all job duties, including lifting, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- A strong commitment to safety and compliance with all company procedures.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming floors, as well as shampooing rugs and washing walls and glass.
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms to ensure they are consistently hygienic and well-stocked.
- Gather and empty trash, recyclables, and other rubbish from all designated areas of the facility.
- Maintain lighting systems by replacing bulbs and ballasts, and conduct minor maintenance tasks and basic repairs as needed.
- Follow all procedures for the proper use and storage of chemical cleaners and power equipment to ensure safety and prevent damage.
- Set up, arrange, and remove tables, chairs, and other items for meetings and events, and assist with moving furniture or equipment as requested.
- Maintain the janitor's closet in a neat and orderly fashion, ensuring equipment is in good working order and requisitioning supplies as needed.
