About The Position

The Custodian at La Posada helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and associates. The role maintains sanitary community spaces and provides friendly, service-oriented support to enhance the resident experience. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The pay range is $15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Requirements

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Six months to one year of custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
Experience in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality environment is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Positive attitude and customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain community spaces, including lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, offices, elevators, and other common areas.
Perform floor care, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, spot cleaning, and polishing.
Clean and polish furniture, fixtures, windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
Empty trash and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
Service and restock restrooms to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Assist with cleaning resident apartments as needed.
Safely move furniture, equipment, and supplies as required.
Set up and break down spaces for community events and meetings.
Follow proper procedures for using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, and storage areas in an organized and safe manner.
Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damaged items to the appropriate supervisor.
Assist residents with requests or direct them to the appropriate team member.
Monitor residents’ well-being in a general way and promptly report concerns.
Work collaboratively with team members across departments.
Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
Support efficiency initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
