About The Position
As a Custodian, you will help to maintain the cleanliness of The Carter Center. You’ll complete the manual labor associated with the daily cleaning of the building. You will also perform various duties requiring moderate physical strength which would include but are not limited to the following: Dust mopping, sweeping, damp mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, removing trash and polishing furniture and fixtures.
Requirements
- General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and maintain a positive attitude while engaging in repetitive tasks.
- Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength which may include the use of buffers, wax strippers and other cleaning equipment deemed necessary to preform the daily duties of the position.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with your supervisor and other co-workers.
