About The Position

The Custodian maintains the cleanliness and appearance of common areas and the parking lot at Outlets at Castle Rock, helping provide an enjoyable shopping and dining experience. The role involves cleaning exterior surfaces and walkways, emptying trash, operating cleaning equipment, performing snow and ice removal, and assisting customers. Custodians may also support maintenance staff and complete other duties or special projects as assigned. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, be able to work independently, maintain a professional and tidy appearance, and show attention to detail and commitment to customer service. No prior experience is necessary.

Requirements

High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.).
No experience is necessary.

Strong work ethic and professional, tidy appearance.
Must be eligible to operate a Company vehicle under the Company's commercial automobile-insurance requirements; eligibility is reviewed through the applicant's driving record and the insurer or insurance broker.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the Center’s common areas, including parking lots, walkways, landscaping, and service areas, by removing debris and stains.
Ensure the cleaning cart is fully stocked at the beginning of each shift.
Empty exterior trash cans at the beginning of each shift and as needed throughout the day.
Use a riding auto-scrubber to clean clay paver areas.
Use a power washer to clean mats and concrete sidewalks.
Use a commercial outdoor vacuum to clean sidewalks, curbs, and edges.
Clean vacant storefront windows and frames, center signage, and other exterior surfaces.
Perform snow removal, including shoveling, snow plowing, and applying ice melt as directed.
Remove excess ice melt with a backpack blower.
Manually water exterior landscaping as needed if an irrigation break occurs.
Support maintenance staff as directed by the Operations Director and General Manager.
Perform duties according to OSHA health and safety standards and maintain working knowledge of Center safety procedures.
Assist customers with questions or requests while maintaining a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude.
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Operate a Company vehicle as an essential job function, subject to the Company's commercial auto-insurance eligibility requirements.
