About The Position

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, cleaning instructions, and schedules.
• Experience performing janitorial duties in a commercial or institutional setting.
• Knowledge of safety rules and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Physical capability to perform repetitive motions, balance, and lift moderate weights as required.
• Balancing skills daily to safely navigate stairs, ladders, and uneven surfaces while performing cleaning tasks.
• Reading and interpreting documents such as safety protocols and cleaning schedules ensures that all duties are completed correctly and in compliance with regulations.
• Knowledge of safety rules is critical to prevent accidents and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly.
• Repetitive motions are a regular part of the job, requiring physical endurance and attention to ergonomics to avoid injury.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure fixtures are in proper working order.
• Read and interpret cleaning schedules, safety guidelines, and maintenance instructions to complete tasks accurately.
• Handle janitorial equipment and cleaning chemicals safely, adhering to all safety rules and protocols.
• Balance physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and repetitive motions while maintaining attention to detail.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Dispose of trash and recycling materials in accordance with facility policies and environmental regulations.
