About The Position
The Town of West Springfield seeks a qualified individual to fill the position of full-time Building Custodian. Under the general supervision of the Director of Central Maintenance and Deputy Director-Buildings, this position handles cleaning and routine maintenance of the West Springfield School Buildings.
Requirements
- Completion of a standard grade school curriculum
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- At least two (2) years of prior experience as a custodian in a similar position
Nice To Haves
- Previous education or training in vocational schools, or graduation from high school
Responsibilities
- Performs general cleaning of windows, floors, furniture, washing and polishing of floors, cleaning of rugs, minor repair work, painting, snow removal and other duties as assigned.
