About The Position
American Facility Services is hiring reliable custodians to help keep schools clean and safe. This is a full-time position with steady hours, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The pay rate is $10 per hour. You must be dependable and use a personal cellphone to clock in and out.
Requirements
- Must pass a background check (school setting)
- Follow school safety rules and act professionally
- Stand and walk most of the shift
- Bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Push/pull carts, mops, and vacuums
- Adhere to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.
- Report to work on time and as scheduled.
- Wear identification while on duty.
- Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.
- Communicate the mission, ethics and goals of the organization.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Attend regular staff meetings and trainings
Responsibilities
- Clean classrooms, offices, and hallways
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Clean restrooms and restock supplies
- Empty trash
- Wipe surfaces and clean glass
- Lock up and turn off lights
