About The Position

GRBS is hiring a part-time floating custodian to clean a building at Grand Rapids Public Schools. The role involves vacuuming and mopping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, and completing other cleaning tasks as assigned. No experience is needed. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have valid ID and reliable transportation to and from work. Due to Michigan public school requirements, individuals with theft-, violence-, or drug-related backgrounds will not qualify for employment. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, with a self-created schedule of at least three days per week. Available shifts are 5:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m.–10:30 p.m., or 6:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. The pay rate is $16.50.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have valid ID.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work each day.
Must have a positive attitude, be a team player, be customer-service focused, dependable, self-motivated, and hardworking.
Individuals with theft-, violence-, or drug-related backgrounds do not qualify for employment under Michigan public school requirements.
No experience is needed.
