About The Position

The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking Custodians to work in our factory in Mason, OH. Successful candidates must be willing to contribute improvements suggestions and ideas to help continue the success of our facility. Ideal candidates must be safety and quality orientated along with demonstrate adaptability and willingness to work in a team orientated, fast paced work environment. This position requires individuals to perform general cleaning duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Candidates must be available to work all shifts including second, third & weekends and holidays
Ability to lift and carry 25 – 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Outstanding attendance record.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to call out defects and adhere to Quality standards.
Achieve qualified score on job skills assessment (as required), to be administered after receiving a passing interview score
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Ability to stay cool and calm under pressure and balance changing priorities with ease.
Focus on safety with a history of practicing safe work habits.
Positive, team focused attitude!

Responsibilities

Clean and Maintain: Front Offices: 13,005 sq. ft. (offices, conference rooms, lobby, hallways) Main Cafeteria: 2,438 sq. ft. Men’s and Women’s Restrooms/Locker rooms: 1,408 sq. ft. Upstairs Offices / Sales Mezzanine: 3, 726 sq.ft. Total Restrooms: 7 Breakrooms: 3 including the Cafeteria
Daily Cleaning Activities include, but are not limited to: The Custodian cleans and keeps an orderly condition in the factory break areas and bath/locker rooms, and office premises. Duties involve a combination of the following: sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors; removing trash, and other refuse; dusting equipment high and low, furniture, or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; providing supplies and cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
The Custodian will have daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks that will need to be completed and documented on the Master Sanitation Schedule. This will be reported to the Sanitation department weekly.
Follow and enforce all guidelines and procedures.
Removal of recycling items as needed
Inventory of supplies and communicating with supervisor for any necessary reordering of supplies
Documentation of cleanings performed
Observe and follow all safety and GMP rules.
Must be willing to work the amount of hours required to meet company objectives (will need to work occasional weekends based on Company needs).
The person selected for this role must have an excellent attendance record.
Strong communication skills are required in order to report feedback and/or issues to their Supervisor.
Ensure that all recycled materials are put into the proper recycling containers.
Cleans totes using the proper chemicals as needed
Maintains cleanliness of the tote cleaning room
Handle Cleaning Chemicals according to Safe Handling Procedures.
Ability to check BOD tankers and use proper safety equipment
Ability to multitask while pumping BOD totes
Other duties as assigned.
