About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and safety of school facilities. The Custodian will maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition, performing such duties as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing restrooms and other facilities. This role also involves trash removal, minor repairs, and reporting any maintenance issues to supervisors. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and the proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies.

Requirements

• High school graduation or other equivalent (General Educational Development (GED), foreign equivalency, etc.)
• A valid driver’s license or state-issued identification card.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and safety of school facilities.
• Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition.
• Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and sanitize restrooms and other facilities.
• Remove trash and debris from assigned areas.
• Perform minor repairs as needed.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools.
• Follow established safety procedures and guidelines.
