About The Position

Active Day is hiring Custodians / Housekeepers! No Experience? No Problem! If you have PASSION, DEDICATION, and a DRIVE to serve others—we'll train you! Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per-Diem opportunities available. As a Custodian/Housekeeper, you'll play an important role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our members, families, and team. You'll help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of our center by performing routine housekeeping duties, sanitizing member areas, and ensuring our facility meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. You may also assist the Kitchen Manager with dishwashing and light food preparation as needed. Your work helps create a comfortable environment where seniors and adults with special needs can thrive, and where every member feels cared for from the moment they walk through our doors. Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Customer-oriented and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
  • Sanitize member areas such as tables, bathrooms, and kitchens.
  • Remove trash from the facility daily.
  • Inspect all rooms to ensure they meet cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Assist the Kitchen Manager with dishwashing and light food preparation as needed to support meal service.
  • Properly handle and protect equipment, reporting any deficiencies.
  • Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety, as well as company policies.
  • Complete other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
