About The Position

Ridgecrest Conference Center is seeking a Custodian to create a clean, healthy, and safe environment for guests by maintaining public guest areas and facilities with excellence, consistency, and attention to detail. The role contributes to the Conference Center's mission of impacting lives for God's glory through purposeful hospitality. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $15.00 per hour, depending on experience. The typical schedule is 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, and weekends and holidays are required.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean public guest areas and facilities thoroughly, consistently, and according to established standards.
• Ability to follow written cleaning procedures, schedules, and verbal instructions with accuracy.
• Strong work ethic and reliability, with the ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently.
• Ability to maintain cleaning equipment and supplies properly, reporting needs or issues promptly.
• Positive attitude and willingness to approach every task with a “make it better” mindset.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on guest needs and conference center occupancy.
• Pleasant, tactful, courteous, and cooperative.
• 8th grade completion required.

Nice To Haves

• Hospitality or service work experience preferred.
• Experience operating floor care equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a purposeful experience for guests by cleaning public guest spaces according to schedules and procedures.
• Operate and maintain heavy duty vacuums, carpet shampooers, carpet extractors, floor strippers, and other equipment as needed.
• Clean office areas.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Custodial Supervisor.
